We had a fantastic time celebrating our language and culture during Seachtain na Gaeilge! The school was full of excitement as the children took part in a packed programme of events.
Highlights of the week included:
- Toraíocht Taisce: A treasure hunt that had everyone searching for clues.
- Tráth na gCeist: Competitive quizzes that tested our knowledge.
- Comórtas na bPóstaer: A display of incredible talent in our poster competition.
- Rincí sa Halla: Plenty of energy and rhythm as classes took to the floor for Irish dancing.
- Gaeilgeoir na lae/Gaeilgeoir na seachtaine i ngach rang
- Taispeántas ceoil - an exhibition of traditional Irish music in all classes
Throughout the week, pupils were busy using their Frásaí Gaeilge, earning rewards for their efforts. The celebrations culminated on Friday with our annual Lá Glas. The school was a sea of green, with pupils sporting everything from green hats and hairbands to creative accessories. It was a wonderful way to wrap up a week full of fun and Irish spirit.
