What a historic and unforgettable day for our school community. We are absolutely thrilled to announce that our boys' hurling team has won the Sciath na Scol final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh today.
Playing in Páirc Uí Chaoimh is a dream for any young player, but to come away with the trophy after such a thrilling, hard-fought match is an incredible achievement. The grit, skill, and teamwork the boys displayed today were a credit to themselves, their families, their club and our school.
An achievement like this takes a village, and we have so many people to thank for making this day possible. Firstly thank you to Mr. Mennis, hard work, guidance, and belief in the boys. We also extend our gratitude to all the school staff, teachers and pupils for their unwavering support and encouragement behind the scenes.
To all the parents, families, and supporters who travelled to Páirc Uí Chaoimh today and supported the player along the way, thank you! The sea of school colours and the roaring support from the stands gave the boys a massive lift when it mattered most.
We also want to extend a big thank you to Argideen Rangers for their incredible support, encouragement, and for organising such a magnificent homecoming. The team really appreciated the reception, and seeing the community come together to welcome our champions home is something they will remember for the rest of their lives. Crucially, we want to thank Argideen Rangers for their dedicated coaching of these players over the years at underage level. The club's hard work and guidance in nurturing their skills from a young age has enabled the boys to reach this fantastic standard today.
