RNLI Water Safety Visit

25th May 2026

With the summer holidays just around the corner, we were absolutely delighted to welcome the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) to our school recently for an incredibly important water safety talk.

The volunteers delivered an engaging presentation, reminding our pupils that while the water is a fantastic place to play, it must always be treated with respect. The children learned vital skills, including how to read beach safety flags and the essential "Float to Live" technique, which teaches them to lean back and stay calm if they ever get into trouble. The team also emphasized the importance of never swimming alone and calling 999 or 112 to ask for the Coast Guard in an emergency.

A big highlight was when our staff got to try on the authentic RNLI crew gear, giving everyone a real appreciation for the amazing work these volunteers do. Thank you to Paul and the RNLI team for their visit.
