We had a great week we had celebrating Maths Week across the school! Every class from Junior Infants to Sixth Class was actively involved in a huge variety of engaging and creative activities designed to show that maths everywhere!
A highlight of the week was the creation of our amazing Maths Art Board. Every class worked together to produce a vibrant and unique display, demonstrating mathematical concepts through artistic expression.
The exploration continued outdoors with exciting Maths Trails. Pupils worked in groups, solving problems and following clues around the school grounds, using their environment to apply their numeracy skills in a practical and fun way.
We were thrilled to have a special online session with Zoey Griffiths, a passionate mathematician who shares her love of maths with schools. She gave a fascinating Zoom talk focusing on "Maths in Technology," inspiring our students to see how mathematical principles underpin the digital world around them.
In addition to this, classes took part in a range of hands-on activities, including, Maths Station, Maths Art and Maths Challenges
It was a week full of discovery, collaboration, and learning. Thank you to all the teachers and pupils for making Maths Week such a success.
