Congratulations to Hannah and all of 2nd Class for winning the Green-Schools Energy Theme ‘Bright Sparks’ Spot Prize during our recent school wide Festival of Energy Webinars hosted by Green Schools.
Hannah asked the experts:
"Is the amount of plastic we are using increasing or decreasing every year?"
This engaging question sparked a brilliant discussion about how plastic production is linked to energy and fossil fuels. The hosts were so impressed by 2nd Class’s curiosity that they awarded them a lovely package of Green-Schools themed prizes.
To answer Hannah's question: globally, the amount of plastic we produce is actually increasing. However, many countries are working hard to make sure the amount of waste decreases by recycling more and using less single use plastic.
