Fifth Class are currently participating in the BLAST (Bringing Live Arts to Students and Teachers) initiative, supported by Creative Youth and Education Support Centres Ireland.
This program focuses on building a partnership between the teacher, the creative artist, and the students, ensuring children's voices are central to the activities and enhancing learning in the arts.
The children have been fully engaged in hands-on creative projects:
- Origami Wonders: Learning the delicate art of paper folding.
- Painting Stick Pictures: Creating imaginative art using sticks and paint.
- Creating Wish Sticks: Designing personalised sticks to reflect their hopes and dreams.
- Textile Weaving: Creating personalised weaving designs
