Over the past few weeks 3rd Class have come together to help support the Equality for All Campaign in connection with Irish Aid. They have been learning about and discussing the 17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development which were agreed by the United Nations in 2015.
Together with Ms. Forristal, they have chosen the 5 Global Goals that are most important to them. These Global Goals are: End Poverty, End Hunger, Acting to Fight Climate Change, Looking after the Life in our Oceans, and Making Sure Everyone Can Live Healthy Lives. The children have had great ideas and are really interested in helping to promote equality for all in the world we live in.
Over the coming weeks they plan to work on a project and come up with creative ways to show their support of these Global Goals. We look forward to seeing what amazing ideas they come up with.
