3rd class at ESB Science Blast
There was massive excitement in 3rd Class this week as the children travelled to showcase their fantastic STEM project, 'Toys in Motion', at the ESB Science Blast. After weeks of busy preparation, hands on experiments, and curious questioning, the big day finally arrived, and our young scientists represented the school with absolute distinction.
The project focused on the invisible forces that make movement possible, with the children investigating exactly how pushes and pulls bring their favourite toys to life. When it came to presenting their findings to the judges, the pupils spoke with fantastic confidence and clarity, demonstrating a brilliant understanding of the mechanics of motion.
A project like this requires a lot of guidance and encouragement, and we want to extend a big thank you to their teachers, Ms. Harte and Ms. Calnan, for all their hard work in helping the children bring 'Toys in Motion' to life.
All the children had an incredible day out, with highlights being the opportunity to explore the exhibition hall, see the entries from other schools, and, of course, have some fun in the free photobooth! We are incredibly proud of all the hard work, teamwork, and scientific curiosity 3rd Class have shown throughout this project. Eell done to all involved!
