2nd and 3rd class were delighted to start their SpringWatch project from The Globe Program today. We discussed all the changes that happen around us in nature during Spring. We decided to investigate a tree close to the school which the children identified as a horse chestnut tree. We tied the thermometer to the tree and marked which branch and buds we would be observing with string. Caoimhe and Zack filled in day 1 of our wall chart and we are looking forward to observing the buds every day as they move from Dormant to Budburst stages.
