Wellbeing Action Research Project

18th Oct 2019

We were very proud to be part of Wellbeing Action Research Project event in November 2019 in recognition of our work on the Wellbeing Action Research Project. NEPS (National Educational Psychological Service) and the Department of Education hosted a finalé event at the end of November - a coming together of the schools on Zoom. The Wellbeing Policy and Framework for Practice was published by the Department of Education and Skills in July 2018 and refreshed in 2019. Since then work has been underway to support schools as they embark on a review of wellbeing promotion in their schools.

The Department worked with 30 schools (10 post-primary and 20 primary) in an Action Research Project to support the implementation of the DES Wellbeing Promotion Process. In 2019/2020, Timoleague National School used the School Self-Evaluation Process for Wellbeing. The school used the SSE process where all stakeholders had a say - parents, teachers and students.
